As an HR Business Partner at Smartly you will…
- Partner with leaders to develop people strategies that align with business objectives
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution
- Cultivate strong, authentic relationships with stakeholders through proactive engagement, active listening, and a deep understanding of business needs
- Support organizational design, team structures, and workforce planning to enable scalable growth
- Advise managers on coaching, feedback, and leadership development to strengthen team performance
- Partner with the broader People team to implement people strategies and programs that drive engagement and employee well-being
- Collaborate with L&D to identify skill gaps and deliver impactful training programs
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and best practices while managing sensitive situations with discretion and care
- Leverage data insights by identifying trends, reviewing engagement survey results, and partnering with leaders to create actionable strategies that inform strategic HR decisions
- Act as a cultural ambassador, reinforcing Smartly’s values and fostering an inclusive workplace
We are looking for you if you have…
- 5+ years of experience as an HRBP or in a similar strategic HR role supporting global organizations
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, influence, and partner with employees at all levels
- Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Experience managing employee relations and navigating complex situations with empathy and professionalism
- The ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and can seamlessly shift between strategic and tactical tasks
- Experience in facilitating HR-focused training initiatives, such as leadership development programs, manager coaching workshops, and employee engagement sessions
- The ability to cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders through proactive engagement and active listening
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of HRIS platforms (Workday)
- Experience in a global environment and varying timezones
- Experience in a tech, startup, or fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with AI tools and automation to improve HR workflows
- Certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR
