In this role, you will design and implement critical services and APIs, working alongside cross-functional teams to shape the technical foundation of innovative digital health products. You’ll collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and security experts to deliver reliable, compliant, and secure solutions. This is a high-impact, strategic role for an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and mentoring others. 

Accountabilities:

• Lead the design, development, and scaling of backend services and APIs across the platform.
• Define and drive architectural decisions that optimize security, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate with product, security, and regulatory teams to ensure quality and compliance in releases.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through design guidance, code reviews, and technical coaching.
• Influence engineering best practices and improve CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure processes.
• Participate in security audits, risk assessments, and mitigation planning.

 

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with strong backend and systems design experience.
• Expertise with backend technologies such as Python, Java, Go, Flask, Django, or similar.
• Experience building and maintaining scalable RESTful APIs and secure authentication systems.
• Solid understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in front-end frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular is a plus.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD, AWS (Lambda, ECS, Fargate), and infrastructure as code.
• Bonus points for experience with OpenID, OAuth2, SAML, or regulated industries (e.g., healthcare/FDA compliance).
