As a Staff Data Engineer, you will architect and maintain scalable, reliable pipelines and cloud-based platforms to enable data-driven decisions across the organization.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including analytics, DevOps, and data science to build innovative solutions, integrate APIs, and optimize real-time and batch data flows. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise, a mentorship mindset, and a passion for creating efficient, production-grade systems that support continuous innovation.
Accountabilities:
- Design and maintain scalable real-time and batch data pipelines using Python and Go
- Build integrations with internal and external APIs to enrich the core data platform
- Collaborate with analytics, data science, and DevOps teams to optimize infrastructure and workflows
- Lead architecture initiatives focused on reliability, data modeling, and governance
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and promote best practices across teams
- Ensure robust monitoring, alerting, and documentation across all systems
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering or software development with a focus on data
- 3+ years of technical leadership and mentorship experience
- Proven expertise in cloud-based streaming data infrastructure and large-scale distributed systems
- Advanced proficiency with Python, Go, and cloud technologies
- Experience with tools such as DBT, Kubernetes, AWS, and CI/CD platforms
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience with real-time data pipelines in a production environment is a strong plus
