You’ll contribute to the design and integration of a complex software ecosystem used in high-impact, mission-critical applications. This role blends deep technical execution with forward-thinking strategy, enabling rapid prototyping, reference implementations, and seamless integration across multiple platforms. You'll work in an environment that values collaboration, exploration, and delivering real-world outcomes in aerospace, robotics, or defense tech domains.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the development of integrated software architectures and reference implementations
- Collaborate across product and engineering teams to guide and influence software design
- Build foundational technologies to accelerate future product development
- Explore emerging hardware and software technologies aligned with long-term roadmaps
- Engage in rapid iteration and prototyping cycles based on internal and customer feedback
- Identify and remediate technical debt to ensure scalable and maintainable systems
- Contribute hands-on to system integration, especially across edge, design, and interface platforms
- 15+ years of experience building large-scale, production-ready software systems
- Advanced expertise in modern C++ (C++17 or later) and architectural design
- Strong background in distributed systems and cloud-native development
- Solid command of software hygiene: documentation, testing, and bug tracking
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with minimal oversight
- Strong collaboration and mentoring skills; passionate about technical excellence
- Preferred: experience in aerospace/robotics, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Linux environments, Docker/Kubernetes, and team/project leadership
