This is a remote opportunity to join a forward-thinking Live Operations team and help shape the future of live service tools for digital platforms. As a Live Ops Engineer, you will work closely with architects and cross-functional teams to build and maintain internal tools, automate release workflows, and support live operations infrastructure. You'll be instrumental in developing and implementing scalable systems that enhance how games and services are deployed and operated globally. This role is open to candidates ranging from junior to senior levels with the right combination of skills and curiosity.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, build, test, and maintain internal tools and system integrations for live operations
  • Collaborate on experiments to improve Live Architecture practices and outcomes
  • Mentor cross-disciplinary teams on live operations principles and systems thinking
  • Participate in release readiness procedures and incident response as needed
  • Document processes, communicate progress, and engage with stakeholders and users
  • Support the development of CI/CD pipelines and promote efficient deployment processes

Requirements

  • Experience building tools or systems that support live service platforms or software products
  • Proficiency in two or more of the following: Python, Golang, C/C++, Groovy (Jenkins)
  • Experience with containerized application development and deployment
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Tekton
  • Working knowledge of RESTful API development and test-driven development (TDD)
  • Fluency with Git and/or Perforce, and source control best practices
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and software release management processes
  • Eagerness to learn and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
