In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud infrastructure across GCP, AWS, and optionally Azure and OCI. You’ll collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to define and execute cloud strategies, support migrations, and optimize performance and cost. Your work will play a critical role in enabling fast, secure, and reliable operations for a global payment processing platform. This position offers the opportunity to lead cloud initiatives that directly support enterprise growth and innovation.Accountabilities:
- Design and develop GCP and multi-cloud architectures using tools like Terraform
- Implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure components
- Architect and manage container platforms (GKE, Kubernetes) and Kafka clusters
- Lead cloud migrations and ensure compliance with performance and security standards
- Optimize networking and compute environments across GCP and AWS
- Monitor and support cloud systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
- Contribute to documentation, team knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
- Stay current on cloud technologies and drive innovation across the infrastructure
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- 7+ years in cloud engineering with expertise in GCP and AWS
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Kafka
- Proficient in scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell) and DevOps tools (GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration using Helm and operators
- Familiarity with cloud security frameworks including ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and GDPR
- Knowledge of cloud cost management and performance optimization techniques
- Optional experience with Azure, OCI, and relevant cloud certifications (e.g., GCP Architect, AWS Architect)
